Pumping systems
Jet Claw® Hydraulic

Oilfield Services
Principle of operation
Jet type hydraulic pumping is based on the Venturi principle, which consists in the passage of a fluid through a reduced area where there is a change from potential to kinetic energy, originated at the outlet of the nozzle that causes the suction of the formation fluid. These fluids enter a constant area called throat, then the fluid mixture undergoes a change from kinetic to potential energy at the entrance of an expanded area called diffuser, where the potential energy is responsible for bringing the fluid to the surface.

Jet Claw® direct pump

The Jet Claw® Direct Jet Claw® Pump is commonly used for continuous production and production testing of oil wells. The motive fluid enters the tubing and the production moves through the annulus.
The Jet Claw® Direct pump is housed in a circulation jacket or cavity.
Main Features and Benefits
  • It moves and recovers hydraulically.
  • It has no moving parts.
  • It can be repaired manually in only 15 minutes.
  • The Jet Claw® pump design is compact and easy to handle. Unlike other brands, the Jet Claw® pump does not require calibration.
  • In wells with deteriorated casing, it is advisable to use only this type of pump, since the return pressure through the annular space is low.

Reverse Jet Claw® pump

The Reverse Jet Claw® Pump is used for exploratory wells, sandblasting and for recovery of acids and solvents in wells that have received treatments. The motive fluid is injected through the annulus and the discharge with the production returns through the tubing. The Jet Claw® pump is housed in a sliding circulating jacket and is quickly recovered through the use of the Slick Line.
Main Features and Benefits
  • It allows to acquire data from the reservoir instantaneously, to obtain the formation fluid it is enough to displace the fluids that are in the production tubing.
  • It moves hydraulically or with slick line, recovers only with Slick Line.
  • It is used for the evaluation of wells with TCP (Tubing Conveyed Perforating) and DST (Drill Stem Test) techniques.
  • They are ideal for fractured wells with high sand production, the solids are evacuated through the tubing thus avoiding their accumulation on the casing.

Jet Claw® smart pump

The Jet Claw® Smart pump is used in exploratory and development or production wells for well testing and evaluation, equipped with a special downhole shutoff valve, and electronic sensors that allow pressure build-up testing. The Jet Claw® Smart pump is housed in a circulating jacket or cavity.
Main Features and Benefits
  • Shut-off valve reduces the storage effect
  • It can be recovered with Slick-Line or hydraulically.
  • Product patented in the USA by SERTECPET®.
  • Reduction of Slick Line runs compared to the use of Sensors coupled to a standing valve
  • Allows coupling of fluid samplers for analysis
  • PVT (Preassure, Volume, Temperature)

SYAL Arficial Lift System

SERTECPET® provides the necessary support for the design of the appropriate Artificial Lift System for each well. SYAL® Software allows the efficient selection of Jet Claw subsurface pumps, by means of functions to calculate the reservoir fluid properties and the productivity index of the well. SYAL® has analysis tools to select the ideal nozzle-throat assembly for each production scenario. In addition, the software allows designing the downhole completion in a modern interface, available in several languages and unit systems.
